Reflecting on the process of creating the website for "END" the graduation exhibition of the Department of Communication Design at Kaywon University of the Art&Design...

"The End," which was the title of my graduation exhibition in 2022. I pondered how to incorporate interaction and animation into the main lettering. First, to create points where I could apply these elements, I divided each unit into a grid and arranged them on the web.

My initial idea was to have the characters appear one by one, intermingle, and repeat the cycle. However, this was ultimately not implemented due to performance issues. The final release featured an animation where the characters fade in and out as they change. Nevertheless, the traces of my efforts to create room for interaction remain on the website.

The Go term "endgame" refers to the process of finalizing the boundaries of each player's territory. The process of determining the winner by placing Go stones one by one and engaging in a dialogue through hand gestures resembles our past three years. Just as Go stones are placed on an empty board, we create our work through a visual dialogue. After establishing order and finding our respective places through a process of adjustment, we are now in the "endgame" phase of finalizing our territories.
